Our members’ need for financial help and advice is increasing. To help face the cost-of-living crisis, we aim to help and support our members through the work of our charity.
For this position you will have experience of supporting people gained in a similar grant giving, information or advice position. As part of the Casework Team, you will provide support to members of UNISON who are in financial difficulty or need advice and guidance, and/or signposting to other organisations.
You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a professional, empathetic, and courteous manner. You will be highly motivated with a can-do approach. You will provide an effective casework service by maintaining an individual caseload at the required level and standard to ensure the delivery of a responsive, consistent and high-quality service.
The aim of our service is not to solve all the issues that members are facing ourselves, but to work with them to overcome life’s challenges and linking them in with other services that are best placed to help.
You will have a key role in making a significant difference to the lives of UNISON members.
Please send a copy of the completed application form to Elizabeth Wischhusen (e.wischhusen@unison.co.uk) quoting the post Ref: RMG/10T no later than 7th July 2024
