Senior Organiser

We are seeking applications from individuals with a commitment to help us grow membership of the Union.

This post can be based in any GMB office of the North-East, Yorkshire & Humber Region, but prospective candidates need to be aware that, at the discretion of the North East Yorkshire & Humber Regional Secretary, they can be required to work from any location within the North-East Yorkshire & Humber Region and to lead a team of Officers in any of the areas and/or industrial sections of the Union.

The principal role of the Senior Organiser is to both co-ordinate sectional membership strategies and to undertake direct managerial responsibilities for Officers and support staff in defined geographical areas.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a proven record in recruitment, organising and retention work, as well as being able to practice the necessary leadership and motivational skills to lead and build team performance.
