About this Role

We are looking for talented and creative Organisers who can work with us across companies in the UK and Ireland. This role requires you to be flexible to work with a variety of companies in different regions.

Being an Organiser in TSSA – We have companies throughout the travel and transport sector, in a range of sizes and different types of workers. This makes the role interesting and versatile with great opportunities for growth. Through the application of strategic organising methods, you will drive union growth and provide leadership to create sustainable active union workplaces where our members ensure they have the confidence to apply power and leverage to make a difference to their own working lives. You will be responsible for coaching active members, developing lay representatives and will also promote equalities in the workplace.

Do you have the skills we are looking for? - We are looking for talented and creative Organisers who are ready for the opportunities that organising and bargaining in a new era of rail will bring. As a creative thinker you will be able to identify, plan and pursue organising and campaigning opportunities that achieve the strategic aims of TSSA. You will be able to identify and cultivate workplace leaders through your own strong interpersonal and leadership skills. You will be able to lead collective negotiations and challenge employers via the representation of members in pursuance of TSSA’s bargaining, organising and equality agenda. You can be based in any of our offices: London, York, Bristol, Dublin or Glasgow. The roles will require future travel across your region and at times nationally.
